Do you know a natural treatment to get rid of neuroleptics like Depakote,Risperdal?

June 26, 2009 by admin · 2 Comments

I have an autistic son who is taking depakote and risperdal to control his self injury and agitation. I have read about B6-Magnesium-DMG vitamin treatment to control aggressive behavior in autistics. But my son is in the hands of a psychiatrist-a drug prescriber. I need to find a healer, naturopath or specialist in alternative medicine in Sacramento, CA,where we live. Please give me information about this. Thanks in advance. Maria P.

I am sure I am not going to be chosen for the best answer by you, but there are no supplements to get rid of risperdal and depakote. None what so ever. If you have doubts, see another child psychiatrist to make sure your son needs these meds, or to discuss other medicinal options. But don't go through this other route, there is nothing wrong with drugs, as a mater of fact the only difference between natural treatments and drugs is that drugs are tested better.

What is the Recommended Methods for Natural Acne Treatment

The best natural acne treatment is exercise and diet.

I suppose most acne patients realize this but do not have the will and determination to make it work.By using natural supplements, it can also help to drastically improve your acne problems.

Although acne mediation such as benzoyl peroxide and accutane can help cure acne, it is not a long term solution. To solve the root of the problem, a natural acne treatment should be adopted.Acne drugs such as benzoyl peroxide should not be used for long periods of time as it can cause skin irritation and in some cases skin redness.

How Diet Plays A Part In Natural Acne Treatment

What you eat or drink can also prevent or cause acne.Vitamins such as Vitamin A and B6 are essential for skin care.Other minerals such as chromium and zinc are also important in preventing acne and can be found in fruits and vegetables.

Generally speaking, a person should have at least 8 glasses of water a day in order to provide sufficient fluids for the body.Drinking plenty of water also helps to expel toxins out of the body.Eating oily food stuff such as pizzas and snacks can aggravate acne problems so avoid them when you have acne.A little is ok but not too much.

Exercise As A Natural Acne Treatment

One of the causes of acne is often stress and exercise can help relieve stress in turn preventing acne.Exercising helps to relax the muscles and excess fat. It can also relieve stress. Other techniques that are useful to relieve stress are mediation and yoga.Besides exercising, it is also important that you have a healthy state of mind.

Besides proper diet and exercise, your habits are essential for a natural acne treatment process.

Examples include cleanliness. That means washing your hands before touching your face, washing your hair frequently as oily hair can aggravate acne problems.

For ladies, cosmetics can contain damaging chemicals to your face when used for long periods of time.

If you are a smoker or an alcoholic, try to cut down or stop it completely.

The best natural acne treatment begins from the inside out. You need to take care of your body and be healthy in order to get rid of acne.

Natural ADHD Treatment Tips

Many natural treatments for AHDH are now available. This does not necessarily mean that they will all work for everyone, but they are available. Simple and common sense treatments will work far better than any fad diet claiming to cure ADD.

First of all, diet is extremely important to all of us; however, it is particularly important to individuals suffering from ADHD. Nutrition can have a powerful effect on your mindset, emotions and how you behave. This, of course, can be negative or positive. The right diet can actually decrease the amount of medication you need. The following are four elements are important in an ADD friendly diet: lots of water, high protein intake, moderate carbohydrate intake and a low to moderate fat intake. Extra vitamins, such as a daily multivitamin, can also be beneficial.

Another important aspect of natural treatments for ADHD is exercise, which releases endorphins, increases brain blood flow and has positive effects on how well all your systems work. This is especially important for individuals with ADD who have sensitive systems and areas of the brain that are chronically underactivated. People with ADD should exercise at least three times a week, preferably doing an intense cardio workout to get their heart, body and mind going. Exercise releases the extra restlessness and energy from the body and mind of individual suffering from ADHD, and quiets everything down a bit. Consequently, it can be considered as excellent medication for ADHD.

Meditation is another natural form of treatment that is highly beneficial for individuals with ADD. Just sitting and breathing on your own for twenty to thirty minutes can significantly slow down your mind and settle your restless thoughts. When done regularly, meditation can have an extremely positive effect on your life.

Additionally, there are natural supplements you can take that can be considerably helpful to the individual suffering from ADHD. One of these is an amino acid that works somewhat like a stimulant, but is not as powerful or as harsh. It is called L-tyrosine, and it can be taken in doses of 500mg-1500mg three times daily for to achieve a positive effect. Some people will be more comfortable on the lower side, some on the higher side. L-tyrosine should be taken before meals.

Another supplement that can help with depressive and anxiety symptoms that tend to accompany ADD is 5htp. This can be taken in doses of 50-100 mg three times daily. 5htp produces serotonin and works somewhat like an SSRI antidepressant. This supplement can be quite helpful if you prefer not taking synthetic drugs.

Beneficial herbs for promoting calm are Mellissa, Passiflora, Chamomile, Skullcap, Albizza bark, which are all taken for depression.

How to: Avocado Hair Mask Tutorial (Repairing hair mask)

June 21, 2009 by admin · 25 Comments

This is a hair mask that I tried and I got to say it has made difference to my hair. It feels softer and shinier!!!!! I have yet to try a different recipe for dandruff conditions but for now I have to share this avocado hair mask with you all.

The hair mask smells amazing and gives wonderful results. I can’t believe it never occured me to use hair masks on my hair until now. Im always a firm believer of natural remedies so I took it up a notch.

You will only need 1 half of an avocado for the hair mask and for the other half; simply mash it up (mix honey, yogurt etc) and apply it as a soothing face mask.

Avocado is rich in beneficial oils good for our skin, body and health which is why some cultures call the fruit ‘Green Gold’. Its not only delicious as a healthy treat but also to our hair and skin.

The mask has enough for 2 applications. I highly reccomend you guys to experiment in your own time and find the ingredients that suit you. Its so much fun and you learn alot about your body, skin and hair at the same time.

P.S. Do not try if you are allergic to any of the ingredients

Much love,
Bubbi
