Stars and contacts

Has anybody ever said to you, that you would look better if you had blue eyes? Probably it’s disturbing, but you can live with it.

Stars, however, can’t. If their reputation is in stake, they do everything to keep it on a high level. How do they do it? They get new eyes, for example. Don’t misunderstand this; they don’t get new eyeballs, only contact lenses. If they have to wear blond hair in a film, then they get light blue contacts. If not in a film, they can wear color contact lenses in the real world, too. Color eye contacts prove to be a common solution for not wanted eye colors. They can enhance a light eye color, or change it totally.

Let’s take a look at some stars that have changed their eye color. For example, there’s Jennifer Anniston. She had brown eyes when she was a girl, but now you can see her with beautiful blue eyes, that pass perfectly to her blond-brown hair.

Or there’s Ivanka Trump. She is a beautiful model, but her eyes won’t look so seductive on her photos if she didn’t wear eye enhancing colored contact lenses. Her eyes are now like some drug. If you look in them, you start to feel dizzy and chilled.

Jennifer Garner had brown eyes, too. But they were dark, so she got enhancing contacts, so the main brown color is not found in her hair anymore, but in her eyes. It’s now easier to see what kind of emotions her eyes show.

Now here’s Paris Hilton. Everyone knows that she has lovely blue eyes. But did you know that those are just contacts? The real eye color that she has is brown. The reason why she changed the color of her eyes remains a mystery. There are a lot of opinions, but she didn’t say anything about this.

There are some cases when we can’t know for sure if the eye color of a star is real or not. There’s the case of Megan Fox for example. She has baby blue eyes, so blue that anything she looks at melds. So are they real? Or are they just contact lenses? Who can tell?

In other cases stars wear contacts not for changing eye color, but because they really need it. This is the case of Demi Lovato. She is called the Disney fashionista, and besides doing her usual occupations, she also pays visits to her optometrist. Guess it’s not a bad habit, especially when you have to think about your eye’s health.

Some stars wear contacts only for filming, but they don’t like them. A good example is Robert Pattinson. He wears topaz colored contact lenses in the film called Twilight. He says that the contacts he wore during filming made him hard to express any emotion. It’s not a miracle, because sometimes contacts can be disturbing, especially when you never had one before.

You can see now that contact lenses are not a bad thing. Stars wear it, so they can’t be. They always make new things known and therefore contacts can’t be so bad if they wear them.

Natural Treatment for Appendicitis, Using Herbs

Herbal treatment for appendicitis means sustaining the recovery after the surgical intervention; it cannot replace surgery by any chance. If you suspect appendicitis in you or your child call a doctor immediately.

To help your child heal faster there is a schedule about herbal treatment you should follow.

In the first three days administrate a combination of Echinacea and Goldenseal to stimulate the elimination of toxins remaining from anesthesia. Taken in 2-3 doses per day they can also prevent infections of the surgical wound by stimulating the immune system.

Next 4-7 days give the patient 3 doses per day of Astragalus membranaceous containing minerals and nutrients to stimulate the immune system. If fever is present do not administrate Astragalus, go back to Echinacea until fever is gone.

Days 8-12 make your child a ginseng infusion to strengthen its body and help it fight infections. Ginseng is also prohibited if fever occurs.

The next 15 to 21 days give him nettle or gotu kola three times a day to help healing his wounds and for its properties of general tonic. Nettle can cause stomach aches and should not be given to children under four.

The following 21-35 days period your child will need to recover the strength; give him 3 doses of Bupleurum Formula a day.

After the wound has healed you can put vitamin E oil, castor oil or in the evening primrose oil on the scar. If you suspect an adverse reaction to anesthesia give your child Nux vomica to help the body eliminate toxins.

Help the body recover from the surgery trauma follow the homeopathic regime:

1. Give Arnica 3-4 times a day to increase the speed of the healing process and reduce inflammation.

2. Next 3-4 days give him/her Staphysagria to help the wound to heal.

3. Give your child Hypericum 3 times per day to decrease nerve pain after surgery.

4. Massage the digestive tract to hasten recovery.

5. Use acupuncture.

After surgery repose and calm environment is necessary. You must limit the number of visitors and create a nice atmosphere. The patient will also feel more tired than usual and will need more rest until he regains his strength. Give him a vitamin B-complex and also ginseng during the first 2 weeks. For approximately 6-8 weeks your child must avoid heavy lifting and abdominal exercises.

For dry hair pls try these hot oil massages….they will help in maintaing the natural sheen of your hair and will also condition your hair:

Hot oil massages: Warm 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tsp. coconut oil and gently massage every part of the scalp for 10-15 minutes. Rinse a towel in hot water, wipe and wind the hair around the head as it cools. Repeat 2 or 3 times to issue total saturation. After that, shampoo and rinse well. It is good for brittle dry hair.

Hot Caster oil massage: Warm ½ cup of castor oil, massage into scalp and gently comb it. Bind the hair with hot towel on the head, wait for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse. As it is home made is so good to use for scanty hair.

Massage into the scalp and comb it not touching the scalp. After massaging cover hair with plastic shower cap. Make it air tight to let the heat penetrate, leave like that for 20 to 30 minutes. Then shampoo and rinse well. It is good for dark hair to keep it shining and lustrous.

Contact lenses: cheap lenses and expensive lenses. Which fits me the best, daily contact lens or monthly? These are some of the questions that you ask yourself before buy contact lenses. Would you like to “change” the colors of your eyes or would you like simply to throw in the garbage your eye glasses? Before you pay lot of money on your lens, take a look at the possibilities.
Contact lenses with corrective or therapeutic purpose are fixed up on the
cornea of the eye. They are separated from the cornea by a wet thin tear layer. Contacts may have therapeutic, cosmetically and corrective roles. They may correct such eye problems: myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and presbyopia. The aesthetic role includes changing the color of the iris. The lenses used with the purpose of change the appearance of the eye may heal, but the most function of these is that to offer special color to the iris.
One research led by June McNicholas doctor of University from Warwick, from United Kingdom proved that you become fourfold more attractive if you use contact lenses. The explication is: you are going to have more self-confidence, you approach more easily to the person around you because you have lost the physical barer which cramped you in looking and been looked in eyes. Moreover the wet sight means longing and sends intense signs difficult to be ignored by men. Due to the statistics of Sover, brown eyes are associated with intelligence (34%) and belief (16%), blue eyes denote innocence (42%) and goodness (21%), and green eyes are associated with sex-appeal (29%) and creativity (25%).
Generally lenses might be harmful, when they are used wrong.
There are many types of lenses regarding to the durability of how long they can be worn. There are lens for one single day, one week, one month, two months or furthermore one year. At the same time there are lenses, which are available to be worn continually one month. Irrespectively of their type it is not recommended the usage during sleeping, in order to leave the eyes to rest.
Due to the constructional material of the lenses, they are rough and soft lenses. Those soft ones assure better oxygenation of the cornea, superior comfort and rarely eventuates complications.
Who can use contact lenses? The ophthalmologist decides after some special analyzes if the usage of lenses it is advisable or not.

A Natural Heartburn Treatment

July 12, 2009 by admin · 4 Comments

When you eat at a buffet, do you consume just about all the food you can and worry about acid reflux or heartburn later? I see it all of the time, just about every one I see at a buffet or even a company potluck, loads their plate with more food than they stomach can handle at one time.

The medical industry has brainwashed most people to believe that if you have heartburn or acid reflux, you have too much stomach acid and that this is the cause of heartburn. Then, then they use Tums or some other over the counter remedy to quench their upset stomach. Or if they are seeing a doctor, the doctor will prescribe a acid blocker drug.

The drugs – acid reducers or blockers – that doctors prescribe usually have a negative impact on your health. Your stomach must have an acid pH of 1.5 to 2.5. With acid blockers or reducers, your stomach pH can move to 3.0 and higher – this means less acidic. A pH of 3.0 or higher can lead to many health problems that you won’t relate to your use to these blockers.

Heartburn, acid reflux or GED occurs when the Lower Esophageal Valve, LEV, opens when it shouldn’t. When this happens some stomach acid and digested food slips back into the esophagus. This will give you a burning sensation, since the esophagus lining is not design to be exposed to acidic stomach contents

If you ever get acid reflux or heartburn, the burning sensation, stomach pain, bleaching, and discomfort will make you look for a heartburn treatment. Here is a list of eating patterns that you should follow, if you want to be free of heartburn. Or, if, you just want not to have stomach digestive problems.

Heartburn treatment with digestive enzymes

Just before you eat, take 2 – 3 digestive enzymes to help you digest your food. You don’t want undigested food to stay in your stomach to long or it will decompose, create gas and turn into an acid source. And, if this undigested food gets into your colon, it can create colon cancer, if it occurs over many years.

Heartburn treatment with water

Limit the amount of liquid you drink when you eat. Drinking excess water dilutes your stomach acid and you need its low pH to digest your food. If you do drink liquid, use room temperature water, since cold water slows down your digestive process.

Heartburn treatment – eat less sugar

Limit your consumption of sugar when you eat. Sugar has no nutritional value and causes calcium to go out your urine. In addition, other minerals are used up during its digestion. For sure don’t drink soda or other sweet drinks during your meals.

Heartburn treatment – watch how you eat fruit

After you eat, don’t eat any fruit. Your stomach is busy digesting the food you just ate. Eating fruit will cause the fruit to remain in your stomach to long, waiting to be digested and will start decaying create gas, and will become acidic.

Heartburn treatment by using a good diet

Don’t stuff yourself at the dinner table. When you eat to much food where you combine meat, carbohydrates, sugar, sodas, fats, and processed foods, the food your stomach cannot digest turns into acid. This acid creates gas and can put pressure on a weak LEV causing it to open.

A weak LEV can be cause by eating too much acid food. It can be caused by mixing to many different foods during a meal. A balanced diet, which contains alkaline and acid food keeps your LEV strong and will not open when you occasionally eat more food than you should.

These are just a few heartburn treatments that can help you keep heartburn free. Your stomach needs strong acid to digest your food. Using acid reducers or blockers like Tums or other medication goes against the nature of your stomach. Without an acid stomach, you will become susceptible to a numerous diseases and a weak LEV valve.

Uterine Fibroid! Does any one have personal knowledge of a natural treatment called FIBROID CLEAR?

I know there are loads of info on this on the net, but I’m hoping for information from people with first hand knowledge about this form of treatment.

How effective is it?
How long does it take?
How much does it cost?
Any side effects?
Is it FDA Approved?

Sorry, NOTHING works.
I had a horrible fibroid, and had to get a Myomectomy.
Fibroids come from too little progesterone in the system.
Too little progesterone in the system comes from stress via poor food choices, alcohol, not enough sleep, or emotional stress.
NEVER EVER take progesterone pills or Depo-Provera to "fix this".
Correct that which is hurting your body, and get the myomectomy.
Do NOT NOT get a HYSTERECTOMY.

FDA and WTO Against Natural Cures, Prozac vs. L-Tryptophan

Why are the FDA and WTO against dietary supplements? It has to do with Codex, which is covertly controlled by the pharmaceutical industry…

“The fact that the FDA ban of L-Tryptophan and the Newsweek Prozac cover story occurred within four days of each other went unnoticed by both the media and the public. Yet, to those who understand the effective properties of L- Tryptophan…the concurrence seems ‘unbelievably coincidental.’” – The FDA Ban of L-Tryptophan: Politics, Profits and Prozac, Dean Wolfe Manders, Ph.D., Social Policy, Vol. 26, No. 2 Winter 1995

As with L-tryptophan, 5-HTP, as a serotonin precursor, has potential to effect a wide range of bodily functions, including, but not limited to mood, appetite, sleep and sexual function. Its effects on sexual functions are least known. There is the hypothesis that 5-HTP might be nature’s potent aphrodisiac. As results of a number of studies have shown, 5-HTP definitely plays a role in sexual orientation, motivation, and behavior through some synergistic pathway with testosterone. In addition, 5-HTP is also found to effect sexual maturation and response in a circadian manner.

Insomnia Treatment: Treat Insomnia Using Natural Remedy

July 11, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Insomnia is the sleeping disorder that prevents a person from getting a quality night’s sleep. In fact, insomnia can keep a person up for many days. This leaves the person feeling tired, wasted and weary. Your body needs sleep to recharge, it needs quality sleep in order to perform at its best. Therefore, if you suffer from insomnia and you just can’t seem to fall asleep at night, it is important that you find some form of insomnia treatment quickly. To find the right insomnia treatment, however, you need to find out just what’s keeping you up all those sleepless nights.

Is It Something You’re Doing?

Sometimes, insomnia is caused by what the person is doing. That’s right, you could be causing your very own insomnia. The reason you can’t sleep can be due to the fact that you’re eating certain foods or maybe you’re drinking too much coffee. Caffeine from coffee and other foods can keep you tossing and turning, unable to sleep, so a good insomnia treatment would be to try and eliminate such things from your diet. Experiment with different foods and see if that helps relieve the insomnia symptoms.

Another insomnia treatment that you can try is to get plenty of exercise during the day. The more energy you use up during the day, the less energy you’ll have at night. Your body will want to rest, and finally you will eventually fall asleep. Try taking up a sport or an exercise as an insomnia treatment. Look at it this way, not only will you probably find sleep but you’ll look and feel great too!

Stress and other emotional feelings can also cause insomnia, too. If you have some event coming up that’s causing you stress, anxiety or fear, try avoiding that situation altogether, or try looking at it positively. Remember, these are your own feelings and it’s up to you to relieve them. If you’ve tried to alleviate them as part of an insomnia treatment and you just can’t seem to get rid of them, try some stress relief exercises, such as Yoga, Tai Chi or even meditation. Or, just slowing down and taking a different outlook on life can do wonders for your well being as well as your ability to get some sleep.

If you’ve tried all of these insomnia treatment and nothing seems to help at all, then it’s time to see your doctor. There are many over the counter medicines that can help you fall asleep. However, try the above insomnia treatments first before the medicine. Most often, you’re wide awake night after night because of something you’re doing. Pay attention to your daily life routine and find out what’s keeping you from a nice, restful sleep.

Natural Indigestion Treatment For Acid Reflux Sufferers

July 10, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Prescription medications can work well for acid reflux, but they are not for everyone, either due to side effects, cost or because of a reluctance to take medications long term. While modifying your diet and adapting your sleeping position can be very helpful steps in keeping this condition under control, there are times when they might not be enough. When that is the case, some turn to natural forms of indigestion treatment to see if they can help keep acid reflux symptoms and pain at bay.

One of the best natural types of indigestion treatments is a modification of lifestyle. If you are overweight, losing just ten percent of your body weight can help. Many acid reflux sufferers report a significant improvement and even elimination of symptoms simply by losing excess weight. It is thought that being overweight places pressure on the stomach, especially when lying down, which forces the Lower Esophageal Sphincter (the muscle at the top of the stomach) open, allowing acid and stomach contents to easily reflux into the esophagus.

Smoking is another lifestyle factor that can actively encourage acid reflux symptoms. Smoking relaxes the LES and slows down digestion speed, meaning that food sits in the stomach for longer, promoting the likelihood of acid reflux to occur.

A third lifestyle factor is alcohol consumption. Alcohol is bad for acid reflux for a number of reasons. It relaxes the LES, encourages stomach acid production and can lead to indigestion. If you’re suffering with acid reflux it is best to avoid all alcohol, especially the carbonated drinks. However, if you do want to have a drink keep the quantity small and make sure you have plenty of water alongside it.

Modifying diet was mentioned at the beginning of this article as being a beneficial way of controlling acid reflux. Along with what you eat, it is just as important to be aware of when you eat and in what quantities. Eating smaller meals more often throughout the day is the best approach. The traditional large 3 meals a day we’re all used to is not good for acid reflux sufferers. Large meals place the stomach under stress and will often trigger symptoms to flare. Also, be aware of when you eat and try to make the last meal of the day 3 hours before your retire to bed at night so foods have been digested and moved out of the stomach.

For some people a natural indigestion treatment that works well is probiotics. Probiotics are good bacteria that are naturally present in your stomach that aid digestion. Should these get out of kilter, you can have problems with digestion. Probiotics are available in food or supplement form that helps aid digestion and keep your system moving. Having sufficient quantities of probiotics can cut down on the amount of acid your stomach has to make, lessening your chance of developing problems with indigestion and acid reflux. As an added benefit, Probiotics also help boost your immune system too.

Other natural indigestion remedies can be found in the home. Ginger has long been used as a digestive aid and to reduce nausea. Ginger can be taken as tea, either using tea bags or steeping shavings of fresh, peeled ginger root You can also find it in capsule form or as a syrup. Ginger seems to absorb or neutralize acid in your stomach, and also has a calming affect.

Should you wish to try any type of natural indigestion treatment, it is advisable to consult with your doctor to be sure they are safe and that they will not adversely react with any type of medication you may be taking.
