Types of Herbs for Menopause Treatment
There are actually two basic types of herbs can used for menopause treatment. These are the phytoestrogen and the non estrogenic herbs. Phytoestrogen herbs are those that contain estrogenic properties that helps produce estrogen in a woman’s body like black cohosh and dong quai. However phytoestrogen herbs are not the best treatment for a hormone imbalance. But be aware that if you are already taking medications to increase your estrogen production, the body might react by decreasing its natural production which may further worsen your hormone imbalance. On the other hand, non estrogenic herbs do not provide additional estrogen into your body. But these herbs help nurture hormonal glands prompting them to create natural hormones much better.
