What is the best natural acne treatment (not proactive)?
I have heard a lot of awful stuff about proactive, one of them being that it messes up your PH balance, so I am looking for a treatment that is natural and will not make me break out when I stop using it. Thanks for your hep ![]()
I’ve tried a lot of medications before but haven’t really help. As a last resort i choose natural remedies. I found that it has the real power of curing my acne. I’ve tried it and it really works for me, in less than one week you can already notice a lot improvement. I hope it helps you too.

Well from personal experience, you need to wash your face twice a day with soap and water. Acne is made from a dirty face. Its like eating the dirt on your face so that’s what keeps it growing. If you wash your face twice a day with soap and water, and after working out, than it will clear up on its on.

Don’t wash your face more than twice a day, don’t use regular soap, use a good face wash. Don’t touch your face, your hands are full of bacteria. I have tried so many acne treatments over the years. I have really oily skin, but the harsh acne products that dry up your face are so bad for your skin, they can actually make it more oily. I would recommend products from Burt’s Bees, Dr. Haushka, stuff you would buy at Whole Foods-don’t use anything drugstore, its all crap. Sometimes you just have to wait for it to clear up, I know that sucks. I used Accutane and for years my skin was perfect, but my acne came back! I am 26 and still have acne…its just my skin type

Soap is actually alkaline and will mess with the nature Ph of the skin which should be around 4.5 – 5.5. Proactivv can be very effective on those with oilier skin types. If you stop using something that clears your skin, your skin will only go back to its normal functioning. You need a regimen to use everyday that does not inconvenience you. Origins (natural) has a great line for those suffering with acne. Use a masque 2-3 times a week and also exfoliate.

Natural? Drink a lot of water, don’t touch your face, mash up some strawberries and put them on like a mask.. Sleep, avoid stress, and use Lever 2000.
Oh, and stay away from the phone. Don’t let the receiver touch your face.
Other than that, RETIN A is great… Not natural, but good.

# Become well-acquainted with baking soda. Seriously, it may seem odd, but baking soda has become one of my best allies in fighting acne. Simply make a paste of baking soda and water (you want to aim for a slightly-thinner than toothpaste consistency) and rub it gently on your skin for about 30 seconds after you have used your facial cleaner. Then, rinse it off gently with warm water. While you can use this two times a day (morning and night), I recommend only using it at night, as it can irritate sensitive skin. As we all know, irritation can only make acne worse.

this is not natural, but I used a (cheap) generic brand of Accutane which is a pill that you take every day and it makes your skin clear. It basically makes your pores super tiny so bacteria can’t get into them. I used it for 6 months and my skin is so good now! I used to have really bad acne and I tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked for me except this. seriously this is really worth it if you want skin that stays clear even when you aren’t using it anymore.
